教学过程:

Step1: Leading in

a. Greeting

b. Free talk. Teacher asks a question “......” and students answer the question individually.

Step2: Presentation

presentation: Teacher shows students a picture and asks them “What is he doing?” In this way, teacher can present the structure “He is doing...”. Then let students induce the grammar structure. Teacher explains the structure and some special words like dance.

Step3: Practice

Activity1: fill in the blanks.

He is _______ a kite.

Activity2: translate the sentences.

He is skating. ____________

Activity3: True or False

The girl is danceing. __________

Step4: Consolidation

Let students watch a video and students describe what the boy is doing in groups with what they have learned in this class.

Step5: Summary

students summarize the grammar structure and teacher makes necessary complements and stresses the emotional objectives.

Step6: Homework

share what they have learned with parents and search more words with the -ing form. Share with classmates next time.
